Received a text message from HSEBOOK?

Yes, it's genuine. HSEBOOK is the sender name used to text appointment reminders and appointment details on behalf of healthcare services in Ireland. If you've received one, it's because your hospital, clinic or health service uses DiaryBook to manage its appointments.

Who operates HSEBOOK? HSEBOOK is operated by DiaryBook Limited, a registered Irish company that has provided appointment management services to the HSE since 2008. The HSEBOOK sender name is registered with ComReg, Ireland's communications regulator, and can only be used by us.

What HSEBOOK will never ask you for

We will never ask you for payment, card or bank details, your PPS number, or a password. If you ever receive a message claiming to be from HSEBOOK asking for any of these, it did not come from us — do not reply to it and do not follow any link in it.

Links in messages

Some messages include a link so you can view your appointment details or download your appointment letter. Any link we send begins with https://hsebook.ie. If a link points anywhere else, it is not from us.

Questions about your appointment

We can't access or discuss your appointment. If you need to change, confirm or ask about an appointment, contact your healthcare service directly using the phone number on your appointment letter or on their website.

Generate PDF appointment letters from customisable templates, append supporting documents, and deliver by email from a branded hsebook.ie address. An authorisation step ensures no correspondence leaves without oversight.

Patient Portal

A secure link — via SMS or email — brings patients to hsebook.ie where they can view appointment details, access documents, and confirm or respond. Removes the ambiguity of SMS replies when patients have multiple appointments.

Adopt either or both — there is no dependency between the two services.
